When we visit your office to collect information about what the needs are for your business, we input the data into software that takes into account the size of your office, the number of desks in the offices, what type of flooring is in it and so on. All of that data is combined with the frequency you require the office to be cleaned and any special jobs such as cleaning the windows or shampooing the carpets. All of the information is presented in a comprehensive proposal specifically designed to meet the needs of your organization. We schedule vacuuming of carpets, cleaning of the restrooms, taking out the garbage and recycling, dusting the desks and keeping your office looking great. We assign one franchisee to your office so you will always know who is coming and going to do the work. Security is at the top of our priority list. The cleaner will be briefed on your security procedures and follow them explicitly each time we enter your office.
One of the questions I am frequently asked is “How much does Commercial office cleaning cost?” There are many factors that are considered when arriving at a final price for commercial office cleaning. One is location, where is the office location, is it in the city, out in the townships, is it in strip plaza or at the top of a skyscraper? When we visit to assess the factors that help us arrive at a price for cleaning your office we take into consideration the size of the office, the type of flooring to be cleaned, the number of restrooms, desks, cubicles, the size of the common areas and so on. All of the elements have to be cleaned and we assign a price based on the combination of all of the factors. Also, the frequency of cleaning or visits as we like to refer to them as. Are we visiting once per week, twice, three times or just bi-weekly. What ever your needs are, our goal is to provide the best possible janitorial service. Our cleaners are franchisees and they have been cleaning in offices just like yours for many years. They are professionals and their track record is proven by the number of contracts they have been servicing. Generally we offer 2 year contracts to new customers. Some ask for one year contracts and we will accommodate when necessary. Two year contracts lock in the price for two years short of some unforeseen change in our economy as outlined in the contract itself. After the two year period we review and adjust to inflation and ask to renew for another two years at that price.

Our business is based on the franchise model. When we get a new contract, we sell it to the franchisee who then takes over the maintenance of the contract. We continue to invoice and collect payments. The reason we have contracts is for the peace of mind of both the franchisee and the customer. It is good business to know we have a working relationship that is bound by an agreement on paper.

Control Janitorial uses an online time keeping system. The franchisees log in when they arrive and log out when they are done. We can supply a record of their attendance if requested.

The franchisee who was assigned to your office will be the cleaner unless they have specified that it will be one of their employees. All personnel who attend to your office will be registered with CJ Barrie and have an employee number.
In most cases if the customer is not happy with the current cleaner, we will first try to solve the issue that is causing a problem. We have a log book onsite for the customer to communicate with the cleaner that they are obliged to read each visit. If CJ Barrie is notified of the problem, we will take corrective action. The cleaners have 2 chances to correct the problem. If it persists, we will remove that cleaner and replace with another of our professional team members.
CJ Barrie is insured with $5M liability insurance and we adhere to WSIB regulations. Honesty and integrity are at the top of our priorities when in the offices of our customers. Your office is safe with us.

If for some reason you lose your log book or something happens to it and you need a new one, let us know and we will provide another to you at no cost. Franchisees are obligated to read the log book before getting started with cleaning in your office. It is our first line of communication with you and the cleaner.

CJ Barrie offers deep cleaning of your office. We recommend annual deep cleaning to get behind and around desks, fridges and tables to give the best deep clean we can. You may choose to have the floors deep cleaned with a new coat of wax or include carpet cleaning. It’s a great way to keep your office looking great combined with our regular cleaning. CJ Barrie offers both interior and exterior window cleaning. We recommend that exterior windows be cleaned once per month and interior windows twice per year. Regular service is limited to what can be reached from standing on the ground, approx.. 15 feet. Inside we use ladders if necessary to clean the glass and windowsills. For post construction deep cleaning, we remove the tape from the windows and scape the drywall mud from the windowsills.
